Since I began working from my home as a full-time "doll restorationist" I found that I now have the freedom and the time to pursue another passion of mine -- writing. Without the daily preparation time needed for teaching school, and with the time savings from not having to commute to my former place of employment, I find that I now have more time to write.
You see, I still find teaching personally rewarding. By writing about what I know best, I can enjoy my love of dolls and teach others at the same time.
What more could one ask for?
As a part of my business in doll repair and restoration, I like to share my knowledge and experience with others. The best way I can reach a large (and growing) audience is through publication of articles about doll restoration and other items of interest to doll collectors and restorers. I have submitted articles I believe will be of interest to magazines in hopes of seeing my articles in print. At the same time, I offer the same information on my website, without the editing (and truncation) done by professional magazine editors. Where the magazines have column-inch limits or word-number limits, my webmaster doesn't set limits for my articles' length on my site. So, while I may not write the "Great American Novel" here, I can still ensure my articles are complete and exactly what I want to say.
Please enjoy the articles I have published. New articles will be added as links to this page when they are completed and the publication is no longer "on the stands." After all, it is only fair to allow the magazines to sell to their subscriber base, without "giving away" the information their subscribers pay for and thus are not impacted.
